Characteristics of Schottky Diodes — SUNMATE

Schottky diode has the advantages of high switching frequency, reduced forward voltage, short reverse recovery time (nanosecond), strong ability to withstand surge current, high temperature resistance, etc. Of course, its biggest disadvantage is low reverse bias voltage and large leakage current.

According to the structure and characteristics of Schottky diode, it is suitable for high frequency, low voltage, high current rectifier diode, freewheeling diode, protection diode, or used as rectifier diode and small signal detection diode in microwave communication, and is widely used in switching power supply, frequency converter, driver and other circuits.
