Precautions for voltage regulator

matters needing attention

Due to the large dispersion of diode parameters, multiple voltage stabilizing diodes can be used in series instead of parallel.

2. Temperature can affect the performance of semiconductor devices. When the ambient temperature exceeds 50 ℃, the maximum dissipated power should be reduced by 1% for every 1 ℃ increase in temperature.

When welding the voltage regulator diode, the pins must be welded at least 5mm away from the tube shell. It is recommended to use an electric soldering iron below 30W for welding. If using a 40-75W electric soldering iron for welding, the welding time should not be too long and should be controlled within ten seconds as much as possible.

In order to compensate for the voltage temperature coefficient of the voltage regulator diode, it can be used in series with silicon diodes (including silicon regulator diodes), with no more than three forward diodes in series. It can also be used in series with special temperature compensation tubes.

In order to obtain a lower stable voltage, an appropriate voltage regulator diode can be selected to be connected in series in the opposite polarity direction, and then an appropriate operating current can be applied to obtain it.
